Wow what a weekend!!! I Spent Friday evening and then all day Saturday & Sunday in Gig Harbor {close to home for myself} for the Made to Create Pacific Northwest 2016 Retreat Workshop! I got a chance to meet and be re-united with many other photographers from the local area, learning new techniques, and hearing from my most favorite Wedding and lifestyle photographers. These are people I find a picture on google or pinterest from then realize that THEY were the ones that created it. Some of the BEST! The breakout sessions consisted of 2-on-1 mentorship sessions. I signed up with Lora Grady with Lora Grady Photography. I have been a fan for years, and I got to meet her sweet sweet angel baby. I had the privilege to sit in on Devon’s talk on Family lifestyle photography and hear all of her funny sounds she makes when she is photographing children. On Sunday I helped lead Worship with Chelle {Chelle Nicole Photography} and Bryan Reynolds {Anthem Coffee}, which happened to also be palm Sunday AND my birthday! We had such a great time, my favorite parts were the Campfire with homemade s’mores kits made by Candice Hackitt {Ivy & Tweed}, and a Disco ball that was brought by one of the photographers I shared a cabin with. We had a disco dance that lasted about 10 minutes. I met new speakers and was able to re-unite with the ones I met last year. This year I was able to pick up on where I left off and actually took it to whole other level. I love that about MTC. I feel Blessed to have a community that encourages growth and where theres a place for everyone to learn something. I felt honored to welcome new photographers to MTC. As I am getting my hands in this community more and more and practice down and business going, I am able to inspire others as well because we come from a wonderful environment of creative and inspiring leaders from the very beginning.

I am thrilled to share some sweet photos from the stylized wedding session we did last weekend. There was no need to pose these two. They were complete naturals, and possessed smiles and laughs to last for days. This brings one question to mind; Is this really my job? I swear I could hear music playing half of the time.

Thank you for taking to time to hear all about my experience this past weekend. We have a great community here, and I am glad you are a part of it!
